There really is no exact information on who invented the kitchen table. Some sources say that Egyptians were those who created the first table for the kitchen. It was said that they made platforms which would let them place their food away from the floor, although, these claims are unsubstantiated.

Even though nobody exactly knows who invented it, we know that they also have their own stories as this is the most common place for family members to talk together and spend some time over a good meal. At some other times, family members may have different tasks to do but when they eat at the kitchen table, they simply enjoy their meal. The kitchen table is also a good place for children to do their homework.
