Kitchen Cabinets Doors
Kitchen doors are made of many different kinds of materials. Sometimes they are all wood like in the picture above. Sometimes they are glass kitchen cabinet doors, and other times they are a combination of wood and glass or some other material. I once saw a set of kitchen cabinets that had the center of each kitchen door cut out and inserted in the middle were sheets of aluminum. The kitchen designer then used a tool to make a design out of impressions in that aluminum.
Veneer kitchen doors are less susceptible and cheaper to external weather conditions than wood. They offer greater uniformity and cover the entire door. Veneers are available in varnished, glossed, washed, painted or waxed finishes.
One way to redecorate your kitchen without paying for new cabinets, is to modernize the look of your kitchen cabinet doors, just by changing the hardware on the cabinet doors. New cabinets can easily run into the tens of thousands of dollars even for moderate kitchens. Even replacing just the cabinet doors costs thousands, since the cost of the door is usually a high percentage of the cabinet cost. But the doors (including drawer fronts), panels and counter tops are what determines the visual impact and style of your kitchen.
