Kitchen barstools are a great asset in the kitchen-since you don't need a table they take up less space. Just pull them up to the kitchen counter. Kitchen barstools are generally 25" to 26" high to accommodate the average kitchen counter height of 36" - 38". But barstools can be higher so be sure to measure according to your needs. Also there should be enough counter space to accommodate all the kitchen barstools that you decide to buy. Each barstool would acquire about 26" to 30" of counter top space.
There are a huge variety of styles from contemporary to traditional. They could have either a simple wood/metal seat or an upholstered seat. Wood/metal seat is easy to maintain but if you prefer the upholstered variety choose those fabrics that easy to clean with a damp cloth.
Kitchen barstools should ideally be backless, since the backs might come in contact with spilled food or drink. Kitchen bar stools also come with armrests, but ensure that the armrests comfortably slip under the counter top. And all these various designs are available on immediate basis or on order, depending on stock. One could search the local markets or even the Internet for various offers available.
No matter what kind of kitchen bar stools you choose to purchase, give them a shake test at the point of sale. You want to make sure they are sturdy, for safety purposes. Ask the salesperson which kitchen barstools are the sturdiest and most trustworthy. He or she should be able to direct you.
